What is Community Life Sunday About?

Beginning in July, the last Sunday of each month will be designated a Community Life Sunday, meaning we will not have our usual Sunday gathering together with worship, teaching, and kids and youth classes at our building.

Instead, we are setting aside the Sunday for community groups to meet and for outreach opportunities on Sunday morning for you and your family in and around Living Waters (specifically focusing on our property and our connection to our downtown and the Liberty Park area across Jackson St).

We will also have a “community table” meal at 10:00 am at Living Waters, hosted by one of our Community Groups, which will be our “corporate” gathering and a place for those who might be coming to the building expecting a regular “service.” The “Community Table” will be an excellent place to build connections and friendships with other folks who call Living Waters home, especially for those who are not yet (or don’t desire to be) a part of one of our Community Groups.

Please watch for updates on the upcoming Community Life Sunday, July 31st, including our Sunday morning outreach and when and where different Community Groups will be meeting up throughout the day.

Thanks for taking this unique and exciting journey with us. We believe our Community Life Sundays will stir us to build more meaningful connections internally and with the city around us!

Holding The Door Open – A Father’s Day Message

Within our stories lies the power we need to overcome. Some of us struggle to recognize the overcoming power in our own story, as so many of them still hold loose ends, moments of intense loss, or perhaps unanswered questions. Paul so beautifully reminds us that it is “in our weakness” that Jesus is seen and made strong- and so therefore we can boast in our weakness! It is often our own stories of brokenness and pain that Jesus rides in with overcoming power.
