A Mother’s Day Blessing

A few words from one mom and life bringer to another:

But I don’t only want to bless and highlight the moms in our lives. I also felt that I was to include each woman in our community. I want to remind you that our God and Father, placed within YOU the seed of life. You carry life in your DNA. Whether or not you have physically birthed children, your heart, and spirit were created to carry and birth life, whether that is in the physical, emotional or spiritual. Do not succumb to the lie that it is only one way. Who you are and what you reveal to the world as women are powerful and needed.

Mothers day can be a joyful day for some and a day that can be difficult for others. It might remind you of the loss of a child, the loss of a mom, the fact you have yet to have kids, or a distant and strained relationship with a mom. I take a moment and pause. I bless you as you hold space for your heart to grieve while staying soft to Jesus. May you feel His heart and arms meet you in the pain of questions and frustrations, and allow Him to honor you right where you are.

To those who are not yet able to have kids, I speak and release faith and belief into your heart, your womb, your body and your mind. May hope spring up today, risking again to lean into the dreams and desires you have. Time is not up!

To those who are in the thick of it. Diapers, sleepless nights, eating drive through as you taxi your kids around, and you find yourself crashing at 8 pm. I speak strength and endurance into your body, mind and spirit. You are fully capable of the life and role that you have been given. You can do this because of the life of Jesus living through you. Let this simple prayer of, “Holy Spirit, help me”, (that I pray through my days), be one that leads and encourages you in each moment, remembering He is our helper and counselor.

To those who are moving into the empty nest days.  Your kids may not be in your home as much anymore but your nest is not empty, and there is more in store for you as a mom and as a woman. Your season is changing but there is beauty ahead that is still to be discovered.

To those who’s kids now have kids. Your influence, wisdom, support, and presence is needed more than ever. You are not forgotten and your time is not done. Pour out what you have received and let Holy Spirit lead you into this season. For those of us who are a little behind you, we yearn for your wisdom, your encouragement and your presence. May you rest in the work you have done and experience days ahead of pleasure and joy!

Praying over each women in our community to experience deep, rich, and powerful encounters with the creator of your life. He is pursuing, speaking, calling us as moms and women to Him, so that we may be intimately united with Him.

As I prayed this week for you/us, I heard the phrase “Brace for impact”.  I believe He is wanting us to prepare ourselves and hearts to fully know the impact you have in the role and identity that has been deposited and given to you. You are not just an annoying voice in the home, reminding your kids to brush your teeth or drive safe, but an influential voice that is leading them to live to the greatness that has been deposited in them.  I bless and celebrate these women, these moms who are in our community today with a powerful revelation of the IMPACT that your life, your sacrifices, your love is having on the people around you.

Holding The Door Open – A Father’s Day Message

Within our stories lies the power we need to overcome. Some of us struggle to recognize the overcoming power in our own story, as so many of them still hold loose ends, moments of intense loss, or perhaps unanswered questions. Paul so beautifully reminds us that it is “in our weakness” that Jesus is seen and made strong- and so therefore we can boast in our weakness! It is often our own stories of brokenness and pain that Jesus rides in with overcoming power.
