Dear Prayer Team,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I went back and read through our prayer items last week, and remembered why it is so important to keep prayer journals! I am copying them here, and rejoicing with all of you over the responses to several of these specific conversations we\u2019ve had with God for our church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The thing I love about our list is the balance of items. There are some things we can say for sure have happened, and some are ongoing relational prayers that become regular additions to the changing practical needs before us.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would like to add to this list, partnerships for the building project. People feel the most connected to something with which they have contributed. This is true of our own church family participation, and also the city and contracting companies and businesses who join with us in this project. The renovation is about bringing the community together and every entity that joins hands with us also increases their connection to us. The kingdom grows as we all work together. Let\u2019s pray for Spirit movement among the contributors to this plan as we collaborate and make progress with one another.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve been sitting in my kids\u2019 room as they fall asleep this week, helping them get back on a school schedule. I bring a little light and just read scripture over them as they start to relax and unwind. Last night I stopped at Proverbs 10:8 and read it multiple times to myself.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cThe wise of heart will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
The Leadership Council meets tonight. We are asking for God\u2019s commandments; his words, his leading, his direction, as we move forward with building plans. Please pray for us to have wise hearts\u2026which is just another way of saying our hearts would be bound to Wisdom. Any conversation or plan we make apart from that cannot succeed (thankfully!).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I also pray a blessing over each one of you. May these gloriously sunny days, crisp cool evenings, and fresh fall air, delight your senses with the presence of Jesus and inspire you to increased intimacy as we all savor his gifts and respond with worship.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are so thankful for each of you! We feel you with us and are encouraged by your prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
