In the Spirit of Pentecost Sunday I\u2019d love to share a word the Lord gave me a few years ago about the Rogue Valley and Living Waters. It\u2019s been a prayer and a picture I\u2019ve held close to my heart. I still believe it\u2019s unfolding now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Acts 2:1\u20137 is often shared when we talk about revival\u2014when we\u2019re asking God to move again. Or we bring it up when we talk about being like the early church. But I feel like the Holy Spirit is drawing attention to something different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I saw fires being lit across Medford and throughout the Rogue Valley. But they weren\u2019t fires of revival. They were fires of reformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Revival<\/strong>\u00a0is when God moves. Here\u2019s what stood out to me from the passage:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhen the day arrived\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 This speaks of\u00a0kairos<\/em>\u00a0time: a divine window of opportunity. A moment like Esther\u2019s\u2014for such a time as this<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThey were all together in one place\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Not just physically together, but unified in heart, soul, mind, and strength. A wholeness of being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSuddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Wind symbolizes breath, voice, frequency. The vibration of heaven. The base note of God\u2019s song. The heartbeat of the Father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDivided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Not uniformity, but\u00a0differentiated unity<\/em>. Unique expressions, all ignited by the same flame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThey began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 This was more than speech. It was dreams being spoken. Purpose released. Creativity birthed. New forms of mission and innovation emerging\u2014through partnerships, businesses, and spiritual movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAt this sound the multitude came together\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 When heaven\u2019s sound is carried through surrendered lives, it draws people in. It causes wonder. And they hear it in\u00a0their own language<\/em>\u2014authenticity and creativity that connect in ways no one else can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I believe this is beginning here in\u00a0Medford<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fires of reformation are being sparked through organizations, ministries, local government, and everyday people. People will come to the Rogue Valley not just to gather, but to find\u00a0alignment<\/em>.
