{"id":60331,"date":"2021-12-08T11:15:40","date_gmt":"2021-12-08T19:15:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/livingwaters.wpmudev.host\/?p=60331"},"modified":"2021-12-08T11:15:40","modified_gmt":"2021-12-08T19:15:40","slug":"how-peace-enters-the-room","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lwrv.org\/resources\/how-peace-enters-the-room\/","title":{"rendered":"How Peace Enters The Room"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In this second week of advent, we are talking about Peace.\u00a0 As I have been praying about what it is the Lord would like me to share, I was reminded of a time when I tangibly felt the Prince of Peace enter a space and completely change the environment in an instant.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Prince of Peace - Advent - Weekly Teaching - Kim Butcher\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uO1ADVKVw3g?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in the 90\u2019s \u2013 I was in my 20\u2019s and a group of friends and I attended what was to be the last year of Jesus Northwest in Vancouver Washington.\u00a0 Jesus Northwest was a Christian music festival that had been going since the \u201970s and was a highlight of my summer.\u00a0 At the time,\u00a0 I was addicted to all things Christian music and also just loved getting away with my friends for a weekend.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This particular year there was a lineup of many artists that were a lot more \u201chardcore\u201d than in years past.\u00a0 That being said, those leading the festival would say over and over that moshing was not allowed and to respect the space of others.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the last night of Jesus Northwest, my friends and I were sitting on a blanket on this little hill with a great view of the main stage.\u00a0 One of the hardcore bands was the second to perform.\u00a0 You could feel a difference immediately \u2013 this band was all about stirring up the crowd.\u00a0 They started to play and encourage people to start moshing.\u00a0 It was weird, I can still remember the feeling of uneasiness and chaos that came over the crowd of over 20 thousand people.\u00a0 You could see that upfront people were getting slammed into the gates and security was doing their best to stop the situation.\u00a0 At that point a couple of ambulances showed up and started taking people to the hospital \u2013 I think I heard that 6 people ended up with internal bleeding and some with broken arms.\u00a0 It was nuts!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But then\u2026.during all the chaos, a grand piano starts getting wheeled onto the stage, and security began to pull plugs and exit the band off the stage.\u00a0 You couldn\u2019t see who was sitting at the piano, but they began to play.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t about the person playing \u2013 there was no spotlight on them to show who it was \u2013 but a beautiful sound started to play over the large crowd and then Michael W. Smith began to sing,<em> \u201cHoly, Holy, Holy\u201d \u201cHoly, Holy, Holy\u201d \u201cHoly, Holy, Holy\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At that moment, you could feel the <em>Peace of God<\/em> poured out over the crowd.\u00a0 It honestly felt like a blanket fell over everyone.\u00a0 Michael W.
