He was a God FAR ABOVE us, who came to be WITH us, so that we can respond to His invitation to be God WITHIN us.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not God\u00a0\u201cif you\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 hit the mark
Not God\u00a0\u201cwhen you\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 get it all figured out<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is God WITH<\/strong> you.
God WITHIN<\/strong> you.
GOD whose hand and favor and presence and power and purpose REST UPON<\/strong> you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Storms Come<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Matt. 7:24-27<\/strong>
\u201cEveryone who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Storms come.<\/strong>\u00a0Sometimes expected, often unexpected. Many of us are in the middle of a storm right now and I\u2019m not here to say it\u2019ll get better, or the pain will go away, or everything will make sense soon\u2026It may not. But one thing I can absolutely say, with all of my heart, is that Jesus is\u00a0with you<\/strong>\u00a0in the storm, He is near the broken-hearted. He will pull you up when you\u2019re overwhelmed and sinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, He isn\u2019t just Immanuel in the storm\u2026He is Immanuel as the FOUNDATION we build on to WITHSTAND the storm.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building Our Foundation in Jesus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I am in a storm, and I\u2019m thankful to say that today it feels like the worst is past, but that\u2019s the thing with storms: They\u2019re unruly and unpredictable. In my storm, my\u00a0testimony<\/strong>\u00a0isn\u2019t pretty or perfect, and it\u2019s still unfolding \u2013 but I\u2019m thankful that it can point to the truth of this\u00a0Matthew 7\u00a0PROMISE.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What we build on the FOUNDATION OF JESUS will stand.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re still standing. We took Him at His word, and built our life on Jesus, and the storm came\u2026and He HELD TRUE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the Foundation of Your Life?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As we experience this week of Christmas and celebrate the WITH\u00a0<\/strong>of Immanuel, spend some time reflecting with us on this question:\u00a0What is the FOUNDATION OF YOUR LIFE?<\/strong>\u00a0 What are you building with Jesus? Are His words, teaching and life your rock? Are you settling at believing in Jesus, rather than moving into the maturity and depth of believing Jesus?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God above us, became God with us, so He could be God within us. Christmas provides a great viewpoint to look back over our lives this year and see if we are building our life on this truth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
