Bless a Foster Youth This Christmas

Let’s Partner with Hearts with A Mission to Share Christmas Joy

Every Christmas season, we have an opportunity to reflect the heart of Jesus in simple but powerful ways—by seeing people, loving them well, and reminding them that they matter. This year, we’re once again partnering with Hearts With A Mission (HWAM) to bless their foster youth, ages 14 to 23, with Christmas gift cards.

For many of these young people, the holidays can feel complicated. Some are navigating life without stable family support, consistent encouragement, or the sense of belonging many of us might take for granted. A small gift, offered with love, can speak volumes.

It tells them: You’re seen. You’re valued. You matter.

What We’re Collecting

HWAM has asked for $25 gift cards to places these teens already love—coffee shops, restaurants, clothing stores, and local spots that help them feel normal, cared for, and included.

Places to shop: Target, Walmart, Dutch Bros, Black Rock, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Chick Fil A, Chipotle, In-N-Out, Mod Pizza, Crumbl Cookie, Ulta Beauty, Fred Meyers, Gas Cards, Ross, TJ Maxx, Cinemark, Amazon

These everyday places may seem simple, but they mean the world to a young person trying to build independence and confidence.

Add a Note of Encouragement

If you’d like to go a step further, feel free to include a Christmas card with a short note or blessing. A few kind sentences can bring warmth and encouragement long after the holiday season ends. These handwritten words often become the most treasured part of the gift.

How to Participate

We’ll be receiving gift cards throughout the month of November.
Just drop your card in the donation box by the door on your way out after our gathering.

Every card helps remind these youth that they are not alone and that their lives carry hope and purpose.

Let’s Share Christmas Joy Together

As a church family, we have a beautiful opportunity to come alongside these amazing young people and help make their Christmas a little brighter. Your generosity—whether it’s one card or several—goes further than you know.

Thank you for being a church that loves well, gives joyfully, and partners with God’s heart for the vulnerable.

Let’s share the wonder of Christmas with the youth of HWAM this season.

Holding The Door Open – A Father’s Day Message

Within our stories lies the power we need to overcome. Some of us struggle to recognize the overcoming power in our own story, as so many of them still hold loose ends, moments of intense loss, or perhaps unanswered questions. Paul so beautifully reminds us that it is “in our weakness” that Jesus is seen and made strong- and so therefore we can boast in our weakness! It is often our own stories of brokenness and pain that Jesus rides in with overcoming power.
