Acts 5 – Activating the Gifts of the Holy Spirit

It is my greatest passion to teach about who Jesus is and about the relationship we get to have with Holy Spirit.  I love to share stories about how we get to encounter and walk with the Lord as we go about our days and to see people choose to follow after Him with their whole heart!  

When we come to know Jesus, everything changes!  Our lives take a different direction than the way we were going before.  Our dreams and desires are now His dreams and desires for us.  We get to partner in life with Him and follow after Him in all that He has for us.  

When we come to know Jesus, we immediately receive the promised gift of Holy Spirit coming and residing in us.  He is our constant companion, our guide, our advocate, He is the revealer of truth and he is our comforter!   

I talked about this a little over a month ago, when we come to know Jesus and receive Holy Spirit, we then have the opportunity to build a relationship with Him and when we talk about intimacy around here, we are talking about an intimate relationship with Holy Spirit, were we open up our lives to Him – we talk with Him and listen to what He has to say – we get to know who He is and it is not just in our morning time with Him but it is all the time – He is with us!!! 

And we get to activate the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives – He gives us gifts and we get to see the supernatural take place as we partner with Him in using those gifts.  The gifts are for today just as much as they were for those written about in the Bible.  

Gifts like, prophecy, words of knowledge, gift of wisdom, gift of healing, gift of tongues – these gifts are given to us by Holy Spirit and partnered with Him in seeing the Supernatural take place in and around our lives!  

As we continue in Acts 5 – we are going to talk about the apostles that said yes to believing in Jesus – they believed that He was the son of God and that he died and resurrected on the 3rd day.
