The Prince of Peace

Ryan Rhoden December 10, 2024

We invite you to explore the profound peace that Jesus, our Prince of Peace, offers us amidst the storms of life. As we navigate through anxiety, fear, and uncertainty, we are reminded that true peace is not merely the absence of conflict but a deep-rooted assurance found in our relationship with Christ.

Here are five key takeaways on how God has brought us into His peace:

  1. Made us right with God: Jesus, as the Prince of Peace, reconciles us with God. Through His sacrifice, we are no longer counted among the sinful but are made right with God, allowing us to experience a deep and abiding peace in our relationship with Him.
  1. Made us right with Others: Jesus teaches us to love our neighbors and even our enemies, breaking down barriers and divisions. By preaching peace to both those who are near and far, He calls us to foster relationships rooted in love, forgiveness, and understanding, thus creating harmony among people.
  1. Made us right with Eternity:  Believing in Jesus grants us the gift of eternal life, freeing us from the fear of death. This assurance of eternal peace allows us to live boldly and confidently, knowing that our future is secure in Him.
  1. Called to be Peacemakers: We are not merely called to maintain the appearance of peace (peacekeepers) but to actively create peace (peacemakers). This involves confronting conflicts, engaging in difficult conversations, and working towards reconciliation, reflecting the peace that Jesus embodies.
  2. Living Out Peace: The peace of Christ is not just a feeling but a tangible force that we are to sow into the world. By allowing His peace to permeate our lives, we can navigate challenges and storms with a calm assurance, sharing that peace with others and contributing to a more harmonious community.
