Help Build Winter Care Packages

Every Winter, we create care packages by donating needed items and assembling them to go out to those in our city and surrounding area who do not have a roof over there heads this winter. Our care packages consist of hygiene items, warm socks, gloves and winter hats, some small snacks as well as miscellaneous other items.

The highlight of our Care Packages are the hand written prayer cards that go in each one. If you would like to donate items to the Winter Care Packages, you can do so by bringing items in to LW on a Sunday, or ordering through amazon.

This Sunday, January 26th, we will take a part of our gathering to write “prayer cards” for the Winter Care Packages.

We have setup an Amazon list where these items can be purchased and they will be used right away in the Care packages. Just visit the link, select an item to purchase from the list, and it will be shipped to us.

Thank You and your support provides a practical way to show love and support to those on the street.
And if you would like to know more about this ministry, contact Jesse. You will find a heart of love that is
intense and deep.

Give Out breakfast Burritos

Monday, January 27th, we are helping Jackson County host a services “fair” to help get a count of how many people are unhoused in our community, in order to better serve and help them. Jesse Montague will be hosting a booth in conjunction with Living Waters, giving out warm breakfast burritos throughout the day.

If you would like to come down for an hour or two and work alongside Jesse as he feeds, connects and shows Jesus’ love to those in need, please call or text Dale Southmayd at 503-586-9481 to set up a time.

Holding The Door Open – A Father’s Day Message

Within our stories lies the power we need to overcome. Some of us struggle to recognize the overcoming power in our own story, as so many of them still hold loose ends, moments of intense loss, or perhaps unanswered questions. Paul so beautifully reminds us that it is “in our weakness” that Jesus is seen and made strong- and so therefore we can boast in our weakness! It is often our own stories of brokenness and pain that Jesus rides in with overcoming power.
