A House of Prayer

Christian Cerdan · June 4, 2025

Before Jesus ever preached a sermon, performed a miracle, or cast out a demon—He prayed. His ministry was birthed in the wilderness through 40 days of prayer and fasting. His power came from persistent, surrendered communion with the Father. From the garden to the Cross, prayer was His rhythm, His refuge, and His source of authority.

In this teaching series, we respond to the same request the disciples made of Jesus:
“Lord, teach us to pray.” (Luke 11:1)

As we follow Jesus’ life and teaching, we’ll discover:

  • How His authority flowed from intimacy with the Father
  • Why prayer was foundational—not optional—for everything He did
  • What it means to build our lives on the rock of His words (Matthew 7:24)
  • How to become not just people who pray—but people of prayer

This isn’t about attending more meetings. It’s about becoming the kind of disciples who, like Jesus, “often withdrew to pray.” Together, we’re digging and redigging wells of prayer—in our lives, our homes, and our church.

We believe Living Waters is called to be a House of Prayer.
And this series is the invitation to build it—one surrendered moment at a time.

Jesus is our foundation. Prayer is how we build.
