Happy New Years

Living Waters family, I hope and pray that you had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends this past weekend. We really enjoyed gathering together with you and your family at our annual Christmas Eve’s Eve gathering. There is something so beautiful about gathering together with family as we tell the story of our Savior and celebrate His birth. Thank you for being there with us.

This coming Sunday, January 1st, 2023, we will have our gathering at 10 AM. This will be a family service, so bring your family and let’s encounter Holy Spirit together as we celebrate the new year! The nursery and a small class for our kids will be available, but we are inviting our Middle Schoolers to stay in the gathering with us.

As we gather on Sunday, we will look back over this past year, remembering specific times when the Lord met us, and look ahead to what the Lord has for us this coming year. I get the honor of always preaching the first message of the year, and I am excited to share with you what the Lord has put on my heart for our family as we enter 2023. There is something very specific that I believe will be encouraging to each of us as we step into the new year.

We hope to see you all on Sunday! If you cannot make it, we will have an email go out with a short outline of the morning and the prompts we will be handing out at the gathering. Fill out the form below and get signed up to receive that email.

Within our stories lies the power we need to overcome. Some of us struggle to recognize the overcoming power in our own story, as so many of them still hold loose ends, moments of intense loss, or perhaps unanswered questions. Paul so beautifully reminds us that it is “in our weakness” that Jesus is seen and made strong- and so therefore we can boast in our weakness! It is often our own stories of brokenness and pain that Jesus rides in with overcoming power.

New Year. New Ground.

You could see that upfront people were getting slammed into the gates and security was doing their best to stop the situation.  At that point a couple of ambulances showed up and started taking people to the hospital – I think I heard that 6 people ended up with internal bleeding and some with broken arms.  It was nuts!
