Love is a Miracle

Hello Living Waters Family,

I know that we have said this in different videos over the past week, but we just want to start out by saying thank you for all the love and support that has been poured out on the Rhoden family and upon our team this past week.  We feel your prayers and we are so grateful for all of you!  Thank you!!

In the midst of so many different things happening around us, I want to encourage us all to keep our eyes on Jesus and our ears turned toward Holy Spirit.  I have been praying so much over this past week and keep coming back to what I know to be true – We have Holy Spirit in us and get to partner with Him as He directs our steps.

Galatians 5:25 says “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”

No matter what it is we are facing, He is ready to lead us! He wants to direct our steps through the hard days and the grief, through the confusion and even through the smoke we are experiencing here in the valley.  Even when things are going well for us, He wants to guide our steps!

Over the past few months, we have been teaching a lot about following the lead of Holy Spirit as we have been walking through the book of Acts – and I just want to say, THIS IS THE TIME!!!  This is when we put into action all that we have been learning.  We may not know what to do or how to respond, but we know the One that does!  What is Holy Spirit saying to you?  How is He leading your life?  How is He walking you through all that you are facing?  I promise you, as you lean into Him and allow His voice to be what guides you, you will not be overwhelmed by the stress or the grief or the pain of what you are facing.  He will come in with supernatural peace and joy and fill you with hope, even when what you are facing may seem too much.

This line in the song, “Love is a Miracle”, by Maverick City Music, keeps going through my head……

And I’ve got beauty for ashes
And I’ve got joy for mourning
And I’ve got praise for heaviness
Love is a miracle

Friends, let’s turn our hearts toward the Lord and look to Him to be all that we need no matter what we are facing.  As you hear from Him, step out into all that He is saying and trust that He is faithful with your heart.  He has beauty for you where you are seeing ashes.  He has joy for you that are mourning.  And he wants to lift off the heaviness you are feeling and bring you to a place of praise.  He is the miracle!  His presence and His love in our lives is the miracle!!  Lean in!

I am praying for this family!  You are loved!  You are seen!  You are thought of!  Reach out if you need anything.  We are with you.

Love you all,
Kim

Holding The Door Open – A Father’s Day Message

Within our stories lies the power we need to overcome. Some of us struggle to recognize the overcoming power in our own story, as so many of them still hold loose ends, moments of intense loss, or perhaps unanswered questions. Paul so beautifully reminds us that it is “in our weakness” that Jesus is seen and made strong- and so therefore we can boast in our weakness! It is often our own stories of brokenness and pain that Jesus rides in with overcoming power.
