Kim Butcher and Drew Berryessa shared a story of community, generosity, and the way Jesus can multiply a simple yes. After giving up her beloved truck to move to the Rogue Valley, Kim spent years driving unreliable cars. One day, while cleaning out an old Subaru, she sensed God invite her to ask for a miracle—and then to invite her friends to ask with her.

When Drew received Kim’s message, he felt the Holy Spirit’s nudge that this was not only something to pray about; it was an opportunity to act. He and a group of friends began inviting the wider community to help. Their first goal was $5,000. Within two days, hundreds of people had joined in and given $22,000.

That provision allowed Kim to purchase the exact car she had hoped for—a 2016 Mazda CX-5—entirely with cash, with just enough left for gas and dinner on the way home.

This story reminds us that generosity often begins with a nudge. We listen, we offer what we have, and we trust God with what happens next. What none of them could do alone became possible when a community chose to respond together.

Instead of focusing only on what we lack, may we learn to ask, “What do I have?”—and surrender it to the God who is able to do far more than we could ask or imagine.
