Brian shares a story of deep loss, unexpected disruption, and ongoing formation.

After years of walking through personal healing and building what felt like a redeemed life—including marriage and stability—everything suddenly unraveled when his wife left and asked for a divorce. What once felt like a clear, “if I follow God, things will work out” story collapsed overnight.

In the aftermath, Brian wrestled with disappointment, confusion, and the question of whether God was truly with him. The temptation was to isolate to believe the lie that no one could understand what he was going through. Instead, he chose to step into community.

Through small groups, relationships, and simply showing up while still “in process,” Brian began to experience healing—not by having everything fixed, but by being seen, known, and walked with. He discovered that God often meets us not in the outcomes we expect, but through people and presence in the middle of our pain.
