Lesson 5 of 24

Christian Cerdan – The Peace That Organizes Us

As technology continues to reshape the world around us, Christian reflects on what Jesus is teaching him about creativity, AI, attention, and inner order. The challenge is not simply learning how to use new technology, but learning how to remain grounded and governed by the peace of Jesus while we use it.

Isaiah 9:6–7 became the hinge point for this conversation:

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”

Isaiah 9:6–7, KJV

The peace of Jesus is not merely a feeling we experience once every problem has been solved. It is the steady government of Christ—upholding, ordering, and establishing our lives with wisdom, judgment, and justice.

Peace doesn’t always arrive because a difficult situation has been resolved. This week, Christian shared how his father’s stroke changed life for their whole family. Caring for him brought ongoing needs, difficult decisions, and questions they couldn’t answer all at once. Over time, Christian and his sister brought their resources together to buy a home where the family could live and help care for their dad.

The circumstances haven’t become easy. But within them, Christian has experienced Jesus’ faithfulness through practical wisdom, his family’s willingness to work together, and the invitation to be guided by peace.

What Christian wanted to give away was simple: partner with the Prince of Peace, even in the mess. We can bring Jesus the unfinished parts of our lives and ask for His wisdom in the next small decision.

Read Isaiah 9:6–7 and consider what it might look like for the peace of Jesus to organize, uphold, and establish your work, technology, home, family, and next step.
